Downtown Los Angeles Fashion Week: It’s a wrap!!
The week long fashion event celebration wrapped up last night at the Geffen Contemporary Museum of Contemporary Art in downtown Los Angeles. BeSeenInHollywood was there to bring you upclose to this prestigious event.
The night featured the collection from of Filipino designer Oliver Tolentino and Elizabeth Mason of The Paper bag Princess who showcased vintage couture celebration of Valentino collection.
Actress Marie Bello was this year’s recepient of the Los Angeles Spirit Award for Style and Substance. She received the prestigious award for her philanthropic work as well as her support of Los Angeles based fashion designers.
The night also featured the performance of english singer Matt Goss and his band. More details and pictures to follow.

Downtown Los Angeles Fashion week: Oct. 12-17, 2009.
Fashion week is back in Downtown Los Angeles. From Oct. 12 to 17, well known and chosen emerging designers will showcase their Spring 2010 Collection. Among them are Louis Verdad, Jerrel Scott, Oliver Tolentino, Elizabeth Mason to name a few. Events to meet and greet the designers are also scheduled. This much anticipated event will certainly draw out the crowd and at the same time discover and promote the fashion industry in Los Angeles. Gen Art and Boxeight kick off LA Fall fashion week 2009!!
Los Angeles, CA- Amidst all the issues and controversies regarding the state of fashion week here in Los Angeles ( this is the first time that IMG will not be handling the show), GenArt, in partnership with Boxeight, successfully kicked off and brought back the Fashion week here in LA LA land last Friday, March 13. Held at the historic Los Angeles Theatre, the downtown traffic did not stop the people from attending this much awaited event. Guests from the media, press, celebrities and fashion industry all rushed to get a glimpse of the fall preview collection. The show highlighted the works of these three LA leading designers: GRAI, RAQUEL ALLEGRA AND SOCIETY FOR RATIONAL DRESS.
